Derived from studies of the typical neighborhood block, this project presents a scheme for a community development plan that includes prefabricated houses linked by a “green” system of pathways and open spaces. The houses stand on raised foundations designed to withstand the threat of severe flooding. In addition to the communal green spaces that the plan provides, roof gardens atop the houses provide for personalized outdoor space.
