| description | Making new use of the neutral ground along St. Claude Avenue, this project imagines a transportation hub raised one-story above the streetcar line that will serve as a cultural facility. Accommodated here are a restaurant, a meditation sanctuary, a jazz club, and an outdoor patio. The scheme thus reclaims and reuses the “empty” space of the neutral ground to offer raised spaces for community activities, which will be safe from flooding, and to provide a home for culturally diverse programming. |
